Cherokee Ranch and Castle

Cherokee Ranch and Castle is a 3,400-acre working cattle ranch with a Scottish-style castle built in the 1920s. The ranch shows how Colorado ranching worked and is also a wildlife conservation area.

The castle

The castle is built of native rhyolite, the same stone as the Castle Rock butte. It has:

• 15th-century Scottish architecture
• A collection of Western and Native American art
• Period furniture and artifacts
• Mountain views from every room
