Ridgeline Open Space

Ridgeline Open Space is a spectacular 1,200-acre natural area offering some of the best hiking and wildlife viewing in the Castle Rock area. This preserve protects critical wildlife habitat while providing public access to stunning mesa-top trails with panoramic views. **Trails** The trail system includes approximately 12 miles of multi-use trails suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The trails range from easy walks to more challenging climbs, with the ridge-top sections offering the most dramatic scenery. **Wildlife** The open space is home to diverse Colorado wildlife: • Mule deer and elk • Coyotes and foxes • Raptors including red-tailed hawks and golden eagles • Prairie dogs in designated colonies • Various songbirds and waterfowl **Geology & Views** The mesa formations showcase millions of years of geological history.
